We Teach is a full stack app for teachers to share online teaching resources with one another.

Stack: PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Node, React, and Material UI. Deployed with Heroku and Surge.

Highlight: Custom middleware was created for token passing, password complexity, hashing, salting, and encryption during account creation and login.

Architecture: RESTful backend API covers the model and controllers using Ruby on Rails to serve data to a React frontend where the view is manipulated. API calls are abstracted into a single frontend component for ease of troubleshooting, and all data flows down from the App component for future scalability.

devJobz is a responsive front end app to easily search for developer jobs around the world using the Github jobs API.

Stack: Node, React, CSS, HTML. Deployed with Netlify.

moonMen is a full stack app for travelers of the universe to build their own spaceship. Users can create an account and add spaceship parts to their wishlist, and update various aspects of their user account (i.e. pw update).

Highlights: Full stack overhaul of a brownfield app with a dev team of 4 in 8 days. Acted as scrum master, product owner, backend dev, and data architect. Abstracted API calls to a single component on the frontend, redesigned the data model to limit the number of API calls.

Stack: MERN (MongoDB, Mongoose, Express, React, Node). Deployed with Heroku and Surge.

Community Spoon is the Airbnb of dinner parties! Users can search for a recipe to cook from hundreds of cuisine nationalities and get matched with dinner party guests.

Stack: Node, DOM manipulation, HTML, CSS, complex algorithms with Javascript ES6, and deployed with Surge.
